My drupal website (update)

It’s been quite a new adventure to build a website with drupal. My previous experience with drupal was zero. Drupal is quite diferent from WordPress. It’s a world. WordPress comes with almost no plugins by default and it is defenetly aimed at blogging and it does it in a very simple and effective way I think.

Using Drupal in overwelming. The amount of default modules and all the costumization possible steals you a lot of time, but allows you to have a site just the way you want.

Using Drupal in overwhelming. The amount of default modules and all the customization possible steals you a lot of time, but allows you to have a site just the way you want.

Drupal themes can make a website look and feel very differently, whether you want a community site, a blog, a business site, choosing a theme is quite important.

I’ve had some problems with my the webform module. While making a form where the user as to upload a file I get an error message about the open_dir() function and php.ini. Appatently the webform module stores the file temporarily in a /tem directory in the /php directory, so it’s not possible to upload files. I’ve contacted my host but they don’t support third party installations :(.

Anyway I’ve maned to create a content type with the ckk module where upload is also possible.

It’s been sometimes frustrating these day with Drupal, but overall it’s been a lot of fun!
