Calonectris diomedea borealis

I found this fellow crossing a busy street in Ponta Delgada yesterday. He was quite disoriented by the city lights and was probably trying to make his first flight to South. It’s a Calonectris diomedia borealis.

I took him home and today released him near a beach. After 10 minutes of exploring the area he happily flew away, making a big circle at the coast and disappearing into the ocean. Here goes the rest of the pictures. It’s a beautiful bird :) .
